Casino gambling continues to grow in popularity around the world stage. With every new year there are additional casinos getting going in current markets and fresh locations around the planet.

More often than not when some people give thought to getting employed in the wagering industry they often envision the dealers and casino staff. It’s only natural to think this way seeing that those employees are the ones out front and in the public eye. Salaries vary by establishment and area. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) numbers show that full-time gaming managers were paid a median annual figure of $46,820 in 1999. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $26,630, and the highest 10 per cent earned just over $96,610.

Gaming supervisors look over gaming operations and employees in an assigned area. Circulating among the tables, they make sure that all stations and games are attended to for each shift. It also is typical for supervisors to interpret the casino’s operating rules for clients. Supervisors will also plan and arrange activities for guests staying in their casino hotels.

Gaming supervisors must have clear leadership qualities and great communication skills. They need these talents both to supervise workers properly and to greet patrons in order to endorse return visits. Many casino supervisory staff have an associate or bachelor’s degree. Regardless of their educational background, however, many supervisors gain expertise in other gambling jobs before moving into supervisory areas because an understanding of games and casino operations is essential for these staff.
